Yarn along today with Behm-A-Long

I'm totally in love with the "Brickless" - Shawl by Martina Behm. I hope, I'll finish it at the end of this week and wear it in October. My reading - one chapter before I fall asleep in the evening - is the book Mut für zwei: Mit der Transsibirischen Eisenbahn in unsere neue Welt by Julia Malchow. It decribes the journey of a woman with her 10 month old son with the Transsiberian Railway.

Mein Brickless wächst unaufhaltsam und ich hoffe sehr, ihn bald beenden und tragen zu können. Abends vor dem Einschlafen lese ich jeweils ein Kapitel des wunderbaren Buchs von Julia Malchow. Nicht nur, weil da bei mir auch so ein kleiner Junge schläft, ist das Buch eine echte Entdeckung. Ganz besonders gut gefällt mir, dass sich hier eine junge Frau aufmacht, um herauszufinden, wie sie jenseits von gesellschaftlichen Vorgaben und Klischees Mutter sein möchte. Es ist wunderschön zu beobachten wie im Laufe der Reise die Beziehung zu ihrem kleinen Sohn wächst und welche Einsichten sie gewinnt.
